What is the earliest memory that you have? WHEN I USED TO VISIT MY NAN IN IRELAND & SHE USED TO SNEAK US OUT EARLY IN THE MORNINGS & TAKE US TO CORNER SHOP & BUY US SWEETS.

MY GRANDAD (ON FATHER SIDE) USE TO TAKE US ON SAT MORNINGS TO VALENTINE PARK WITH A BAG OF STALE BREAD & WE USED TO BUY A BAG OF NUTS TO FEED THE SQIRRELS & DUCKS. MY NANNY IN IRELAND USE TO WAL US TO TOWN & EVERYONE YOU PASSED STOPPED TO SAY HELLO AS THEY ALL KNEW WE WERE COMING FOR A VISIT. MY PARENTS WORKED VERY HARD ESPECIALLY WHEN WE ARRIVED IN NZ - THEY BOTH WORKED TWO JOBS. MY DAD ALWAYS FIXED EVERYONE'S ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES AS HE WAS AN ELECTRICIAN. OFTEN HAD TO LEAVE DURING DINNER WHEN PHONE CALLS CAME IN, SAYING SOMEONE STOVE OR OVEN HAD STOPPED WORKING.
